One of the great opportunities of cruising out of the United States is that many of the ship destinations offer excursions for deep sea fishing. While these can be a bit expensive (particularly if the boat only allows four or less fishermen), it is something that uniquely fits into a vacation that is focused on the sea. Deep sea fishing and cruises go together like fish in water.
